BC Wildlife Management Units in Google Earth

I contacted the Gov of Sask to get the data required. This was the response:

Hi Chris, Our current wildlife management zone database does not meet GIS standards and therefore is unavailable to the public. Updates are in the works to allow this information sharing. Unfortunately this information will not be available in the near future.

I got a PM a while ago asking if there was anything like this available for Saskatchewan. Unfortunately I cleaned out my message box and don't know who it came from. Have you looked at what, if any, info is avaliable for Saskatchewan?

I am hoping this was partially my doing. When I contacted them last year about Google Earth maps they had no idea that B.C. had this set up. They even asked for me to send them the link for download so they could have a look. Sounds like the gears are turning but the finances are lagging.

Instead of starting a new thread thought i'd bump this. Is there an overlay for specific maps in the regs? Like no hunting, or closed areas so you can see a more defined border of where you can or can't hunt. the maps in the regs as i'm sure you all know aren't super specific.

No Problem.

I am planning on moving back to BC this summer and figured I should map the Units as I did for AB. The maps in Alberta that the government provides are horrible as well. So it was really a selfish motivation.

Selfish maybe, but sharing it was definitely unselfish. Thanks for that. It works slick and is a great tool not only to research familiar hunting areas but also to explore new ones. We all owe you one.
