hmmm must of been a lot of changes needed by Browning..my last Browning still have it was A BOLT ss stalker....now they have gone completely through the alphabet and are at the x bolt..lol

I have 2 Tikkas and they are both great shooters. Personally the "feel & fit" of the Browning wasn't right for me. The Tikka is very comfortable.
As several others have pointed out get a stainless model. It really is a must on the coast and worth the little extra.

I concur s/s will be a very good call. Holding pattern for a moment as I want to feel the Ruger "hawkeye". As for cal. I thought i had it figured out. I now have the 308 and the 30 06 on the table. This is harder than buying a fly rod, must just be me.

X bolt by far, excellent rifle, I have both the tikka and X bolt , I just love browning rifles they are much superior imop.
