Does that mag have to be pinned at 5 or does it only fit bolt guns?

Bolt guns don't have the same restrictions. I have both 10 round and 5 rounds mags for this thing. (ah I see the q now) yeah this mag wouldn't fit any semi auto .308 semi that I know of.

Doesn't matter what the mag fits, it matters what the mag was designed to fit.

There are legal mags for semi-centerfire that hold more than 5 rounds. LAR and A1A.

Yeah thats the 10, the 5 round mag barely sticks out the bottom plate. Core course is end of feb, looking forward to it. Got a lot to learn when you don't start as a kid.
