I was lucky enough to see a piebald buck in the rut quite a few years back. I almost didn’t know what I was looking at. Took me a few moments to believe what I was seeing.
yes deer have winter coats that they shed in spring, no it’s not white. It’s just a slightly different colour to their normal tones, but thicker and warmer.
