I was working. Saw several lynx in that same area last winter after the season. So this year, I've been packin' the 22 since the season opened in Nov. Seems everytime I didn't pack the rifle was when I'd see one. Finally got the timing right yesterday. Now I'll spend the rest of the winter packin' the camera and seeing if I can take some good live pics.
I've been seeing a ton of snowshoe hares while hanging ribbon this winter. I'm sure if I actually packed the 22 in my cruiser's vest I probably could get one to put in a mount with the lynx. Not sure if I want to go that route though, as I'd like to keep the total size of the mount down to a minimum given room I have to display it in my house.
