X-2. Have cut up alot of moose with one of these. They have a couple of sizes and I have both of them, the big on in the quad and small one in the pack. Since I don't do the gutless method I find with a sharp knife and one of these saws, its all I need.

Wyoming Saw none better , my last one was over 20 yrs old still working fine and I gave it to a new hunter on this site,I'm sure he will get 20 yrs out of it also,I like the WS 2 with the longer blades if you have to saw logs off the road it works like a charm.
7-6.5 PRCW the best cartridge since the 280 Ackley 👍

For all you guys that don't carry a saw, do you carry the whole head out then or leave the antlers. I carry a saw to cut the skull cap with. It is a Wyoming saw and works great.

This saw is the best IMO. Most guys dont know about them because they arent sold in outdoors stores but Slegg Lumber carries them. Better than any saw I've seen in a sporting goods store. They come in two or three different sizes and you can get 3 different interchangeable blades with different tooth sizes for them. Watch your fingers!

My dad has one of those Kershaw blade traders (i think thats what theyre called), comes with 5 or 6 different blades and a saw. Never used it myself, but looks like a handy little kit.

Agree on the silkie. Pocket boy is about 8 inches, gom boy is about 10 I think. Incredibly sharp and portable.
