    raven question

some regions raven has no open season --some region you are able to shoot from private land with permission...
region 3 where i am --no shooting raven at all...
but hypotetical question===if i drop raven,by mistake of coarse....and i get got...is penalty same as shooting any other --no shooting bird..like bold eagle? or duck out of season?
in my books raven is pest...like crow or magpie or raccoon....

I would say there is a higher chance of getting charged if you were caught with a dead bald eagle than a dirty raven.

What I have always wondered is about bag limits. Why is there a 5 daily bag limit? Are people actually limiting out on these? If so, are they in your bag?

Simple answer is yes, it would considered poaching.

    Re: raven question

Probably the best hunting of the year for me is shooting Ravens/crows in the calving pens in the spring. Lots of ACTION!

Luckily for me there's a season open, but there's also the Livestock Act.

And BigBoar, limiting out happens a lot, and I pick them up to keep the farmyard clean and haul them to the dump at the end of the day.

Perhaps if you cant ID the species your shooting, you shouldnt be shooting at all. They do look quite different.

I would say the chances of you getting in chit are considerably higher after posting the questions that you did here, especially with all your smily faces.
