First moose hunt,smithers area...6-1 6-11

all packed up ready to leave on the first ferry tues morn, first moose trip, going in blind, have back road maps and no knowledge of the area, anyone have any hints or tips for finding any bull moose out that way, got kids to feed need a succesful trip, thanks

Try to stay as far as you can from any FN Reserves or activities as all you'll see is ATV's and carcasses. Trust me on that one that they know where the animals are and dont hesitate to pull the trigger

If you have an leh permit you should have come north 2 weeks ago!! If your on your way up for open season the only advice I can give you is check out google maps and find a few spots to walk in to. There will be lots of traffic so the moose will tend to stay away from the main road and be feeding in the fresh cuts.
