10 days till I go for archery!!!!

Cant wait myself - just completed the final check on gear today! Everything is 100%, DZ-32 is shooting beautifully, Studs are on target and PX2 broadheads are ready to put the hurt on a big ol buck!!! Thursday morning will come quick - now if I can only get some sleep!!! Clothes are in there scent free state and sealed till opening day!

yeah its close now...just stated last year and managed to get a whitetail with my bow. basically it ruined me! all i want now is bow hunting, i'm worried my rifles will have each other to keep company in the safe! can not wait!

I'll be heading north on the 31st. next morning is archery muley and whitey, rifle elk and moose, 9 days of shear enjoyment!

Still deciding where to go. There are a lot of good places to start looking. I hope to take something with my bow near the beginning of september.

A little too excited, but worried about the heat. Got down to 15 degrees here in the Elk Valley last night, and it was 20 degrees by 7:00am.

They are gonna be in some cool thick places if this keeps up.

I'm gonna be calling for by brother and buddy, and hopefully if they connect I will get a crack at one with the x-bow as well. I really just want to get in close to those screamin' stinkin' *******s again.

Sleep deprivation! I am too excited to sleep!!!!

Last year, I went bow hunting grouse and ptarmigan on Sept. 1st. Man, that first ever kill with a bow is something I will never forget. I can't imagine how it will fill when I kill my first ever deer, let alone with a bow.

I went from a $100 budget (last year) to well over $1000. And I still feel inadequate. Damn addiction, I'm telling you.

Yup, I'm already here in Elkford, riding my horses, found my Elk I'm going for in a few days, he is a beauty, I have backed off him now, he does the same thing day in day out.
Look forward to seeing him again in just a few days.
Good for the horses too, they love getting into Elk almost as much as we do!
