Nait, Jack is a grade dog out of Oregon that Mike Martell hooked me up with. I have hunted with both parents and they just get it done on cats, and will stick with a mean bear.
Zoey is another grade dog from Derek ( Shaker) and has made a fine dog. She has treed 80 plus bear, around 30 lions and 18 lynx and she just turned two. I have another with the same blood lines that looks more english then Walker, that is the pup Vicki in the pictures.

    Nice looking dogs.

When you say a "grade dog" what does that mean?

simply means a hound that isnt or couldnt be papered , with six differnt breeds of coonhounds they are very often crossed breed to breed of coonhound but they are still hound only .

Jacks a nice looking hound , long legs looks like he will have some stride to him, should cover gound well . ( Mike Martells dogs grade ? )

Are you useing a differnt antenna?

Yes mikes dogs are all grade walkers other then the one english he is selling. Mike hunts a full brother to Jack who I was impressed with at 8 months old. Hence gettting Jack to try. I am really the guinea pig as far as trying this line on bears as these dogs are bobcat specailists.
The antenna I am using on the dc-30 is a tuff skin, it is replacing my broken garmin antennas.

I think CHB is meaning unregistered or even mixed breed hounds. I have a mate who is a houndsman in the US and he breeds his own strain of hound they started out as 1/2 Red Bone 1/4 Plott and 1/4 Bluetick. now they breed "true" but he refers to them as "grades"

CHB-sorry if I am wrong in this or spoke out of turn
