ATV and boots. ATV close, hike in, shoot critter, walk out, get ATV, ride in, drag out critter. Could be done with a UTV, or an ATC, or a Pickup. Moosin

I'd have to agree with moosin...go figure

But if your in an area that will take the added width/size of a utv, being able to add a cab and heater would be nice if your a bush monger and live out there...

but if not...definately an atv... with heated grips

Well UTV's are good for carrying anything you need, there quite nice. My dad and i use the good old polaris ranger and it sure has done its job well. None is really better they both have there pros and cons

I grew up on an atc and an argo. Havent used any type of atv for hunting in a long time - mainly cuz I spend my money on other priorities and hunt on foot. An atv of some sort would sure be nice to save wear and tear on the expensive truck though. The wife likes the idea of a utv, and its cheaper than two atvs, so might roll that way someday when the other financial priorities are satisfied.

Haha... Yep... I do all my back "road" travelling via quad if I can... hide that sucker, or lock it up good and hope for the best when we take off hiking. I know my truck would've cost a lot more (and looked a lot worse) than my quad when I rolled it a few weeks ago. I think it's only about $30 or so in parts... lol.

All I have is a dirtbike right now, but I'm trying to sell it and get a Quad. I'm looking forward to being able to leave the truck behind, burn less gas, get into tighter spots etc.

What do you guys do with the quads when you get off to hike for a while? Lock it up, hide it?
