    Search Question

How do you search for a two word item without the search returning every thread that has any one of the words in it. For example if you search "mill lake" your results include any thread with either mill or lake in it which is not at all relevant. Forgive me if I'm an idiot and I'm overlooking something simple.

As far as I know - you can't get that specific in your searches. You'll have to resign yourself to sifting through all the ka-ka.

That's too bad if that's the case, that's far too much ka-ka to sift through. It worked on the old search and works on searches on others sites.

If it used to work, it should still do so. Have you tried the Advance Search Options?

    Re: Search Question

Yes, I've tried the advance options with no luck. If I recall it hasn't worked since the site maintenance was done.

    Re: Search Question

I think you can do an exact phrase search if you include the quotes. But if you want a true "and" search, e.g. posts that include both the word "mill" and the word "lake", I think you might be out of luck with vBulletin. Its search capabilities are limited. You could try Google. Enter something like: "mill lake site:huntingbc.ca" without the quotes. You might not get up-to-date results but they should be the posts you want.

You can also use Google to get around other vBulletin brain damage such as its inability to search on three letter words (LEH, GPS etc.)
