    Let's talk backpacking rope

    Whats everyone useing.
    What weight and length everyone use for backpack hunts
    KEEP SHOOTING OR SHOOT A BIG GUN!!!!

    60ft paracord. Don't take real rope unless you know how to use it.

    I bought some paracord from can tire last fall, one of the center strands can be taken out and used as fire starter.
    It’s come in handy, I normally don’t carry much more then 30 ft.

    Rope is very heavy to carry! You want at least a 1/2" rope for supporting your body, by regulation anyways. A smaller rope could work in a pinch but I would never carry it unless I knew of a certain situation where it was required and you could leave it at that spot.

    Usually just 50 ft of cheap blue/white hollow braided poly, twisted rope is a nightmare

    The HD retrieval kit is way more specialized
    Never say whoa in the middle of a mud hole

    Para. Lots of it. I have commitment issues when it comes to cutting so I bring lots.

    50' of bright red/reflective paracord in the pack. Use the same shit on the tent so you don't face plant when taking a piss in the middle of the night.
