You mean to go look at or scout for them ? I don't assume you plan on hunting right now do you?
I didnt know that grouse were in Squamish
for all the times ive being up harrison or any other fsr roads in the area,i think ive maybe seen 5 grouse in the last 6 years and only 1 when they were open, i havnt had much luck grouse hunting in the LM or deer in that matter.
look for them, scout them out, when can you start hunting for them
off the top of my head i think sept 1. I would check a reg book first tho before "scouting" with a gun for "protection"
Have you ever hunted before? You should start off picking up some regs and reading them. You don't seemed to informed so far, so learn the rules before you head out.
yah looking through the regs would be a good idea.
Wait for a bit more for back to back days with sun, could be a month or more away. When things start to dry up in a bit any area you suggested will have them. Make sure you have a good zoom on your camera ( cant hunt them right now), i love seeing grouse pics. Taken lots from both sides of harrison and jones ( in season ). Drive slow and look down at both sides of the road. If you see one, there are probably more.
270win Browning A-bolt
12g Maverick 88 Field
30-30 Marlin
i wouldn't say that it was good, i wouldnt even go and say decent.
