    2) Elk

    3) Calf moose

    4) Trout pan fried on shore

    5) Dungeness crab from the chuck to the pot!

    I've heard older "toes" can be a bit tuff. Do you recommend marinating the toes in butter milk or just rubbing them with cracked pepper?

    So where are all the "rut buck eaters" who filled most of 18 pages with posts claiming rutty mule deer meat was so absolutely and fabulously awesome??????

    I see only a few guys even include deer on their list here.


    My picks would be,

    Bison, Moose, Elk, Sheep and Ruffed Grouse, in no specific order.

    Rough Grouse, Bison, Sheep, Elk, Moose. The order changes depending on the quality of the animal.


    PS Hunger is the best chef. A hungry sheep hunter will eat wierd things.
