just north-west of the gorman mill is killer.. after the fires theres lots of fresh shrubs in the spring. As well as the entire chute lake area. Hwy 33 is always busy with animals. and for Calibre?? 7mmRemMag period. Does it all with little bite and shells are 35 bucks a box for accubond. Great to start with. I gotta say that the tikka is kickin ass these days, smoother bolt and better craftsmanship IMO. Check them out before you knock the Finnish gem. Dont be to proud to go out and by the "Best".

Hehehe... Indeed, what is it they say about opinions? 7mm Mag is a nice caliber, especially if you are going to take longish shots. But really, there's nothing that a good old .308 won't kill.

Hwy33 does have animals, so does Chute lake but it's usually a gong show... You can get much better hunting not much farther from Kelowna if you are willing to do a little hiking.

I am assuming that you have already purchased the .30-06 X-bolt. That is what I am understanding by reading your Signature. If so, great purchase. I truly believe the X-bolt to be under-rated, and you'll never be let down with the caliber.

I live in Kelowna and was wondering if anyone could give me tips to area's that they know are a good starting spot. Walking in, Drive in, it don't matter.

    Thanks!
