    The weeks report

    Saturday December 18.

It was a wet windy day and practically no ducks were using our field, but Catharina (my sis) and I were still able to team tag a drake mallard. It was also her first time out with her new 12ga Ithaca M37 pump action, which replaced the ol' 12ga double barrel. She loves it!!

    Monday December 20.

My dad and I hunted a timber pond. It was a "duck an hour" day. We had 5 by 12:30. 4 Mallards and a widgeon.

    Wednesday Decemebr 22.

All three of us (myself, my dad, and my sister) got out today. We went to the same field as Saturday, except this time it was like summer!! Sun, no wind, and heat! This time there was a few more around. Got 3 mallards, a teal, and a widgeon for a total of 5. Reeeaaaallll slow. Them puddlers just arent around in our areas. Fun day though, Catharina is still learning her gun.

Here she is with the bag:

After the hunt today we drove down to Cowichan Bay Estuary to have lunch. We saw some good numbers of ducks and geese flying and saw TONS of swans!!!

    Here's a few 747's in flight.

After our lunch we went scouting and found a different field with geese. Hopefully we can get into them...

Merry Christmas!! Good luck out there!!

    And thats my report!
