Honestly how could anyone really care over $12.50 - its the principle that is at stake here. Both sides you look at it - its all around bad business.
A) The new owenrs did not even consider that this "Roger" character may have had something to hide
B) The new owners did not clearly lay out the new policy for the GC
C) Its a lose lose all around, from the consumer and for the business.. The only way to make the busines look good would be to accept the cards at face value and explain the situation, then I would have felt that they were an outstading company.. instead I feel ripped off.

Considering the business changed hands a year and a half ago, and the new owners have zero legal obligation to honor the GC, I think that instead of feeling ripped off, you should feel grateful that they extended a 50% courtesy credit to you.

If he changed the name to "henry's sports" then it would have been alot easier on the customers. He kept the name and should assume "some" liability for that. But then again, where do you draw the line....

Hub sucks. Definatley gone down hill after roger sold it. I will not step in that store and highly encourage others to go elsware. Too bad cuz the staff are all good guys.
