    Cariboo-Chilcotin waterfowling

Lots of tales, stories, and pics. from the coast; but not much from the interior.

Surely, guys and gals, there must be a some decent waterfowling to be had in the interior of the province. so lets hear and see about it!

The creston area used to be good for ducks and geese. A couple of years ago the creston valley authority put in a portable toilet and let us camp in an area that you could tow you boat into. The next year they locked the gate and access was by foot only. It seems that they do not want hunters in the area. Have not seen any americans since then. Big financial loss to the town. I decided to walk in and when I got to an area that I could hunt, I found a sign that said HUNTING BY PERMISSION ONLY. They dogs and I turned around and walked back out. I found out that you have to apply for a permit, $10.00, to hunt on the property. No problem getting the permit though. Just not very user freindly. NO advance warning of the changes.
