    Shuswap Mallards 2010

I've been busy chasing 4 legged stuff, finally got started on ducks!Last Saturday we set up at our usual spot and picked up 9 mallards before torrential rain grounded the birds and sent us back to the truck. This morning my partner and I(and his 8 year old twins) were back at the slough,it took til 10:00AM,but we limited on Mallards. It was very difficult to tell gender, the birds were backlit by the sun coming through the fog,we ended up with 13 drakes and three hens. The boys had a great time all in all an excellent morning.
