Our Season Opener!

Hey everyone!

Today was a great day in the field! We got lucky with the weather as the sky didn't shed a drop until we got back to the truck at noon, but it was a FOGGY morning for sure.

We had some good chances early on, and we were getting Catharina to line up on some birds with her new 12 guage. Birds were decoying decent until the wind changed direction, then they kept wanting to fly behind the blind making the shooting much harder. But we did get some in the pocket and Longshot Sr. even dropped a lonely Drake Mallard from the goose blind . Had many chances at teal and even shovler on my walk down to the duck pond, but if we were going to shoot a duck, we prefered it to be a mallard, so I passed up the birds.

All in all.... we had an AWESOME opener! Lots of coffee, sandwiches, munchies, and the scenery made the hunters happy this morning, the birds were just the cherry on top...
