    Not Another New Duck Blind

When will the madness stop I tell you. The other blind is good but obvisously we need another one???? I havent posted many pictures of it, its been top secret but now I figure since its almost done why not.

And the start of project flooded timber. First day we pounded in a bunch of fenceposts inbetween a few cottonwoods and then cut them all and started nailing and screwing down floor joists then a floor. After that Matt made the wall frames in the shop and we put them down there and screwed them all down.

We torn down a bunch of old fenceposts to use as siding for the front of the blind. No need to paint or anything, blends in so well, looks like tree bark the whole way across.

Then today we just finished the dog ramp on the side, the plywood on the back for a backrest and painted all the new 2x4s and plywood OD green for a base coat with a lot more browns gonna need to be added to match the tree colour. I took these pictures before we painted though.

The view the ducks will have of the blind as they come down through...can you say GOOOOOD NIGHT!

    Hanks side of the blind.

And I just had to post a picture of my brother who I find rarely smiles in pictures so just to bug him here's one. Dad must of said something funny or they were making fun of me probably hahaha.

Its Matts baby. He's the one all into southern arkansas duck hunting. I'm sure he'll come up with something good. Maybe we'll name it after the first thing we shoot....hopefully a big ol' ugly hollywood duck comes floating in early hahahaha

great lookin blind. that remindes me, I need to go trim the blackberry bushes around the westham bayshore soon. this summer they tried to move in and I know the blind will loose the 5 diamond award we got last year if our patrons get thorns up there buts.
"you know there are a lot of mountain bikers in the area" she looked at me weird when I said back to her " Thats fine, I'm not hunting mountain bikers today" Brambles

Bayou Matteau has a real nice southern draw to it, and theres lots of room in that blind for a duck camp baby.
