Well, we have taken Austin out alot with us boys and he has learned through the years to shoot and shoot well. We went out and lined some rifles up between a few of us and the little bugger was hitting the bullseye at 100 yards no problem. I told him after that display that if the deer walks away after shot, there was nothing wrong with his gun.
It was the last morning we were there. He had seen several other bucks from the previous few days but things did not work out for a shot at some of the larger deer. We all told him to keep his hopes up - after all the season has just started!
His dad and a buddy walked down a trail in a block when my buddy says "There is a deer". Sure enough they see a grey body at the tree line which is roughly 225 yards away. The deer is looking straight at them and they are not sure it is a buck. They all agree it looks larger than most and the fur had already changed to it's winter coat. The deer slighty turns his head and then that was the end.
Click - Boom.
After the smoke clears, they move up to the tree line and finds this guy.
Congratulations Austin and welcome to the club!!!
