    i uploaded the cougar track to gallery..the front feet were together on the right and the rears are on the left...5 pack of 30-06 shells for scale...the snow had melted hard all day so the track was likely from the evening before just after the fresh snow fell...

    There are 3 types of hunting camps.

    One that you drive in with a camper/trailer/wall tent in tow and set up a comfortable shop.

    One that is a base camp with less amenities with a basic tent but you are camped at the end of vehicle access.

    Then, there is everything you need to hunt and survive for up to a week that goes on your back camping out in multiple remote back county locations thru the duration of a hunt.

    I don't validate or promote one over the other, to each their own.

    Convenience vs bare necessity dictates the list of what you can bring on a hunt.
