    Angry Canadian customer = Licence to ripoff

    I Just got my gunbearer which I ordered from Kifaru to go with my Mystery Ranch NICE frame pack and noticed on the envelop a postal stamp with shipping charge of $3.20. Kifaru billed me $21 shipping for a $32 item that fits in a bubble envelope.
    This really pissed me off. I know it's not a lot of money and that I agreed to this charge beforehand but come on. I have noticed this practice by some vendors that think just because the customer is in Canada it's okay tack on the shipping charges.
    This shows a real lack of ethics in my opinion and I will not be dealing with them again.
    Just to give you a comparison I only paid $58 shipping to Mystery Ranch for my pack that came in a big box, and that was FedEx priority service with insurance!

    Thats why they call it shipping AND handling....$3.20 for shipping, the rest is for "handling".....You could always send a nice little feedback to Kifaru and see if they are willing to compensate a good customer...Worth a shot..

    That's an extremely common experience when ordering out of the US, but definitely worth a complaint in this case.

    And if that doesn't toast your bread, then how about this:

    Cost of natural gas burnt in July 2010 =$1.49
    Delivery charge =$31.86 Commodity charge =$17.33 Franchise fee =$1.57
    Carbon tax =$2.01
    Clean energy levy =$0.18
    GST =$2.36
    HST 5% =$0.34
    HST 12% =$0.03

    Total =$57.17

    That's just for a paltry 2.4 Giga Joules. I have noticed that in Canada, shopping on line a possible trend toward "FREE Shipping". Now that should help drum up business!

    They'll never end hunting...may make it illegal, but they'll never really kill that way of life!

    Yep like Gatehouse says, UPS charges their own brokerage fee's which either get added onto shipping or are a nice little surprise when you get your package.

    It came by regular mail, didn't get charged duty or brokerage fee.
