Just curious what grain of bullet do you use in your .270 for deer and elk. Should i get 150 grain or something bigger/smaller? Thanks for the help

I liked the 130 grn.
I have shot 150's in my .270 for the last 2 years and havent had a animal run more than 50 feet after being hit with a good shot deer and bear

130 grain for deer works good.
130 and 150's work for me in Nosler partition. Barnes tsx also make me smile..
Thanks all for the suggestions
if I had a 270 Win I would probably shoot either 130gr Barnes TSX or Nosler 140gr Accubonds, 3rd choice would be 150gr Nosler Partitions. Federal loads all of them in their premium factory ammo

In my old 270 I found that it liked 130, but not sure which the new 270 likes. In my experience lots of shooters preferer the 130's
either or, it doesn't really matter that much. My rifle tends to like the heavier bullets, or at least I have found load development easier with the 150 grain partitions, but right now I am hunting with 130 grain accubonds. I say use whatever shoots better.
