X2 on the Ruby Eye. One of my favorite flies is the Davie Street Hooker, talk about an attractor fly. I know it's a Steelhead fly, but on a fly in moose hunting trip North of the Dean river many years a go, the cuttbow's couldn't leave it alone.

TIP... on the ruby eyed leech..once tied..get a cup of water put in microwave till just boils. .take out..place ruby eyed leech fly in the extremely hot water for 20 seconds..remove..stroke fibres back towads the bend..
this really sets the fibres in a thin realistic leech like look....helps them flow and move..

    Cheers

Not a single balanced leech mention? Easily in my top 3 for still water.
