    Licence problems

I went into wal-mart lastnight to buy my first hunting licence (ever). I got it, and when we got home i noticed that a couple things were wrong.

    - Lake Cowichan was spelled wrong
    - A Box # was used instead of a house number (Even asked the wal mart empolyed what she needed, she said doesnt matter)
    - No expiery date was put on

Can I change these without going back, or would I have to go back to the vender?

Buying a licence from wally-mart is a bad idea IMO. As for the expiry date it should say:

Licence is valid from 'Date of Issue' to March 31st 20__

The __ part should be filled in with 07

And it does say "no box numbers" house and street names only. Defintely go back. All it takes is one CO that missed his morning coffee

Could they refund my money, or do I have to be re-issued a new one because they messed up?

I guess you would have to be re-issued a licence and void the faulty one. Ask for the store manager and let him know how you fell. Of course you will be refunded. DEMAND it, don't be polite about it. It's your money and they screwed up not you.

    Re: Licence problems

IMO, go back and get a new licence.
It will be very difficult to explain to an enforcement officer why your licence has 2 different types of handwriting on it.
    Vendors do get audited.
I bought my son's first licence at Walmart several years ago. I wasn't aware I had to complete the declaration of responsibilty as my son was a minor. A few months later I got a call from the manager at Walmart asking me to go back to the store and complete the declaration, or Walmart would receive a fine. So I went back and signed the form.
So in order to CYA and I would go back.
