well two long chases today, Both dogs lost a bear when it crossed a log about 30 feet above them. We saw them drive the bear out, he was huge his back was higher than the hood of my truck. Wanted to let the dogs go again but my buddies dog got lost in the bush and we had to double back to get him.
About 20 mins later we spotted a nice bear maybe 250 ish feeding in a clearing drove up to about 60 feet away, now the catch here is hes in the middle of a huge clear cut, with seed trees about every 50 feet, good strong climbing trees. Well that bear ran past every tree it came to and just kept going. We finally cut the bears off just before dark.
