I've always wanted to call a dog SPUD but havent been allowed yet

I think you gotta wait a while once you have him to see what suits him. I think I read somewhere about people who didnt name their kids until there was something significant about them that kinda revealed what their name should be. Thought that was kinda cool. Gives your name some significance.

the dog may be named, "Carpet Crapper" or " Leg Hound", or "Arse Sniffer"

best to name the dog immediately just in case,,,

We had a cat named "Geese" many years ago. It would work for a dog. I like Spud that's cool.

lol, I didnt mean the dog doing something significant, I meant it was interesting about the kids I dont think you'd want to be yelling for "floor pisser" or "fart" late at night in your backyard! hahaha

although, Fart would be a funny name.....
