    mik langley in qualicum is a certified master blade smith .. everything from small folding to Damascus swords

    The nicest handmade knives I have come across are made by Bob Lay. I own a few. You will have to google it; he sells his knives now through a wholesaler in the U.S., but sells a few locally. This is one of the wholesalers, www.peasandcornco.com/gifts/boblayknives.asp. If you like the look of the knives, let me know, I can pass his number onto you.

    Ddog here also makes real nice knives. I bought one last year from him and am extremely happy with it.

    I would third the bob lay knifes more like show pieces though. roger hat in kingfisher makes really nice knives.
