I have a Max Searls, very nice knife. Im afraid to use it. Got it for Xmas from my father in law. Seen a couple others of his and they're great.

Ive got one of his knives and so does my dad. Skinned a moose, an elk, a deer and a bear with it and its still sharp. Awesome knives!

The nicest handmade knives I have come across are made by Bob Lay. I own a few. You will have to google it; he sells his knives now through a wholesaler in the U.S., but sells a few locally. I would third the bob lay knifes more like show pieces though. roger hat in kingfisher makes really nice knives.
