    Fishy Geese?

    This is a rookie question.

Do geese eat rotten fish and roe like ducks do and become fishy?

I am thinking about hunting geese in an area fairly close to some salmon streams and the topic came up.

Alot of people swap fishy/gamey back and forth. I find the odd duck will have a fishy smell and you ll know it when you find it. Never had a goose like that.

I've gotten the odd fishy duck but never a goose and never heard of one. I've just found with geese they can get danmed tough as they get older. I don't even bother with single birds anymore, they always seem to be fit for only jerky.
