no problem with shaw here. I tried telus a few years ago cuz they said they were faster with DSL but I only stayed with them for a few days and switched back to shaw
even when shaw upgraded last couple years to faster speed I still didn't experience any downtime like you're taking about
now with shaw home phone too for cheaper than Telus I'm not sure why everyone doesn't switch

well,after posting this mornin,i hooked the new router/modem back up,turned the router and pc right off,left them for a couple minutes,then powered the pc and router up.first thing i did was come on here and the site loads fast like it use too,lol.
hopefully it stays fast,lol.only time will tell,lol.
