    "Shortshots" Day Out

Well dad had no work, I had no school, and my 4 year old brother Anthony (shortshot... ) had no preschool. So we went for a late morning shoot with our Double Barrels. (It was Anthony's 2nd time out)

We got there around 10:30 and nothing was flying except extremly high widgeons. So we sat on a log for about an hour (Anthony was working the duck call ), we got bored, then started target shooting. Anthony didn't mind the BOOM at all! (Something I was worried about) Then he wanted to shoot. After his first shot, he was hooked!! Then my dad told him to aim at a board (all dad did was hold the gun, so Anthony had to do aim and shoot). He smoked it dead center!!! He ended up shooting about half a box of shells and my dad has a sore arm muscle as he couldn't really shoulder the gun with Anthony on his lap.

So Anthony had a great time and will be coming more often. He is one amazing young duck hunter! Hopefully some ducks come into play next time!

    Here's some pics:

Great to see the family outings, reminds me of when our boys were younger.
