That is back when you could bolt through the body panel on the box cause it was steel and not tin!!

I don't think I have ever seen an 8ft. Alaskan Camper? The ones I have seen have all been about 10ft. Nice pics! The old Ford looks good with the chains on her. Do you still have the rifles that are leaning against it?:

Nice picture! They don't build many regular cab short box Chevy's anymore. I remember sometime around 1985 Darryl Cross of Lantzville got an Island Elk and had it in the back of his early Ford Bronco. I wish I took a picture it.

While not a pick-up...this was my Dad's hunting rig(and family vehicle)......1958 or 1959 Beetle. Drove like a little tank.

The truck came out of the Osoyoos area before being rodded. I bought it as is. I was told there is about $50,000 into it. 350 Chevy, 671 Blower, 2-4bbl carbs, TH400 3 spd trans, Mustang II IFS, 9" Ford rear with 3:50 gears, Dutchman Axles, Lokar Shifer and E-Brake. The roof is chopped, the body is all steel except widened fiberglass rear fenders. My plan was to replace the little chevy with a blown 426 Hemi and paint it sapphire blue metallic but I haven't had it out in 2 years so I am considering selling it if I get a good dollar for it otherwise I will watch my sons fight over it.
