    How I clean Walleye/Pickerel

    There are many ways to do this, here is a little look at how I do it.

    Don't forget the cheeks, they only take a second to remove, and are (IMHO) the best part of the fish.

    A gutless method....cool, near the end, what were you cutting out from the center of the fillet???

    There is a line of small "pin" bones down the centerline of the fillets. If you just make a small cut to either side of those bones at the tail end, then tear the center strip out, those bones are removed with very little waist. Much more neatly than trying to cut them out.

    Rivers:
    Petitot, Sikanni, Nelson, Muskwa, Prophet, Liard, Kiwigana, Deer, Dunedin, ect.

    Creek Mouths:
    Jackfish, Clark Lake, Snake, Sateneh, Klua, Ella, Fontas, ect.

    Lakes:
    Trout, Sandy, Little Sandy, Boise, Charley, ect.

    Others as well, but you can't have ALL my secrets.

    Other fish in these locations include:
    Goldeye, Incanu, Pike, Whitefish, Bull Trout, Grayling, Chubs, Burbot, ect.

    Interesting method for getting rid of the little "y" bones. When I fished them in Manitoba they showed me a different method of cutting them out, but I think yours is quicker.

    the cheeks are good, walleye is my favorite fish.
