Hunting Dog Coversion

I have a German Shepard - Border Collie X, great all round dog, but not made for hunting.

Any specific trainning I can try to make him a hunting dog. I don't expect a miracle, but I figured I can at least try.

(and please don't say beat him, I've already tried that, with no results. )

Not really. The one was bread for herding and the other for herding and protecting. Both breeds have no specific hunting trades that you could expect much out of other then what might be left from the original wolf instincts.
