I'm looking for a little help in ID'ing this fella. I say Blacktail..... What about you?

Definitely a Hybrid!!!!

I'd take him to be a Blacktail. Just based on the rump as there's not enough rack to help with the decision.

Really lookin' for feedback on this.

What gets me; is that *if* it is a blacktail,,, he's WAY out of his 'supposed' home range.

I tell veterans and long time locals about this deer and they assume that because I'm from the LML, I must suffer from the fumes of all the crack/meth users.

looks like a blacky but the body coloring is very light....

And I see the face of a Whitey....... I think? Pick was taken in the hight of summer (July 30th). If this helps.


I call BT mainly because of the rump and its inner ear colouring.

It looks like a muledeer with the summer coat,the ears look a little too big for a true blacktail.
