    Marks 2009 shed pics

Heres some pics as a result of uncountable hours of snowshoing! Enjoy!

Hes just a runt, but the blood in the snow was barely stiffened up when I found this. This was about Jan. 15 and the first of my sheds this year.

Not 50 yards away, but 2 weeks later, I found this beauty!

4 hours of ground pounding and 4 sheds later, I found its mate almost burried.

Heres a nice 5x6 set from last year, lying only 5 feet apart, uncovered by the nearby 3 feet of snow. (Closest pair ever for me)

heres a buddies shed pile so far, he wanted me to post this for him, he can speak up and take credit for it if he chooses.

Heres my collection so far, excluding the dandys coming up real soon! 4 sets which all came pretty easy this year, note the bottom set is from the big 2 point buck in my scouting thread.

Imagine my excitement, when "en route" to my shedding spot, I see this sticking out of the snow. The pic doesnt do it justice, but thats a 6 inch base with a huge pedicle!

Heres what I unearthed! It was so frozen in the ground, I couldnt pull it by hand, had to kick it twice.

Heres another angle on the Gem! A tape wouldnt do him any justice, but this shed is heavy duty, with some very cool charactor junk!
I searched for hours, but I feel the mate is burried deep under the snow...I will return to find it!

I didnt get an ATL as I had to scale over an edge of a cliff to retrieve this sucker. Funny part is I walked within 20 feet of it in hunting season with no snow, and found it yesterday sticking out of 2 feet????
It tapes out at 84" typical with 8" of extras for a whopping 92", A 205-210" grossing buck, my best shed ever!!!!!

Now immediately this shed looked very familiar to me, I called up buddy on my way home, and stopped by to confirm my thoughts.....

Heres the history, buddy found the brown shed on the right 4 years ago on the very same ridge. Another buddy has the match to that one also. Back then it had a 190 plus mainframe with about 10" of lil extras, yes a 200" gross buck. would of net scored about 180 as a typical.

That year, the buck was seen several times and missed by 2 archers!

They thought the buck was long gone, now I find his antler about 2 years old I figure. Hes lost a lil length, gained a lil mass, as well a couple extra points, overall 2" larger. We can only hope hes still roaming the hills!
OK im done now, must find more!
