Hi guys. I picked up a bow and took a course a couple years ago and just completed my CORE last month. My bow is a Martin Phantom set at 40lbs. My arrows are alum BEAMAN ics hunter jr 40lbs. Now I want to up my draw weight to the max which may only be 55lbs if im lucky. So does that mean all new arrows. I'd need broadheads for sure. I just need some advise from the experienced. I cant afford a new bow so this little guy has to work.
So to up my draw I have to crank down on the allen key here. The shop where I got it in new west has not been open latley so this is why i'm here. Thanks boys

Does the bow still fit you properly? Yes, you will need new arrows. Yes, if you want full draw weight, crank that allen bolt down all the way, then back up half turn. Hook up with some one in your area, that has experience and let them help you.
Or go on the net and search "Easton arrow chart", for example. Punch in your criteria, draw weight, arrow length and tip [or broadhead] weight.
Better yet, go to the local club and stand around looking bewildered. Some kind soul will take you under their wing, and you may find a hunting partner.
ok. I called up boormans today and I'm gonna go in late next week and go over everything. That sucks I'm gonna have to buy all new arrows but I don't want to hunt deer or any med size game with the min amount of draw weight. Does anyone hunt with 40# draw?
