Marshall and I, first season in Review 2008/2009.

Here is a few pictures of the beginning of what I hope will be many more year of waterfowl hunting with my most recent hunting partner.

This is Marshall who decided there was enough room for both him and Nash and a sneaker he was using as a chew toy at the time.

I shot a hen mallard last Jan and Marshall was already parading with it at 3 1/2 months.

Now retrieving consistently at 4 months.

Getting accustomed to being on the water and in the duck boat.

Marshall finally making water retrieves at 7 1/2 months !!!

    Junior hunt test trials...

Marshall Qualified as a Junior Hunter

Then the all the training is put to the real test and the fun begins with opening day of the season.

The following weekend with a Simon

A field hunt first week of Nov with John and Tanya

    Waiting for more birds!

The catch of the day between Josh and I

Another widgeon hunt between Josh and I

    December 20th Goose Hunt

Our latest hunt with the goal of all drakes.

This is what Josh and I took home that night.

Wow if the ducks ever figure it out, they divert around your neck of the woods. LOL Handsome pooch Marc.

Looks like you and Marshall had an excellent first season together.Well done with his training he looks like he enjoys the hunt.

Makes me miss my labs.Had a pair(mother/daughter) of chocolates.Great team. Both lived full lives to 14 years each.My wife and kids made me buy a cairn terrier(Toto on wizard of Oz)....Not a good dog for ducks.

p.s. yes,my nuts on are the top shelf for now.I have been looking at a real hunting dog.sooner than later.
    Great pics !! thanx!
