Im just wondering if any one knows any good moose hunting area's in region 8.
im hoping to head up that way for deer, and if i have a chance to fill my moose tag. well that would be a bonus.

I was in 8-08 the other day looking for a wh. tail doe and we saw lots of moose tracks along the sunset main road going from hwy 97 down to headwaters lks area. My wife saw a big moose running into the woods just as I was looking out my window saying how "fresh these moose tracks looked". I got out but couldnt see anything only heard ahuge crashing going through the woods. If you take this route youd best plan to do some hiking 'cause the road is pretty thick on either side and its hard to see in most places more than 25' into the woods. Good Luck. Rob
