Hunting Grizzly with .300 weatherby magnum

I own a .300 weatherby magnum, and I was just wondering if it would be powerful enough to take down a grizzly bear. I am not hunting one this year but I was just wandering if it would be a good choice well hunting grizzly?

It will do the job fine as will a bunch of other calibers . Just place the shot .

You could "take down a grizz" with a .270 if you placed the shot correctly.

"Shot placement is King.......you know the rest - it's someone's sig line (or was).

bullet construction would be important, you'll want to choose something that can hold together under high impact speeds when hitting heavy bone

Yes, my friend has shot 3 grizzlies with his .300 Win Mag. He used 220gr Partitions on all three. Two were one shot kills and one needed a finishing shot.

    Certainly,
It almost don't get any gooder as they say, thats plenty of Gun, placement is what it's all about. Use a 180 to 220 gr. bullet.
Take out the shoulders! That should also provide a lung and possible heart shot.

The .300 Weatherby Magnum has been around since about 1946, how many Grizzly bears and Alaska Kodiac bears has the .300 Wby killed ????,,,,
    THOUSANDS !!! of GRIZZ,
can YOU kill a Grizz with your .300 Wby???
Well first you need a LEH GRIZZ Authorization and then you have to find a GRIZZ and then you have to shoot with precision! and the .300 Weatherby will do it's part ! you can be assured of that!!
    sit quietly by the river,,,,,,

eventually the bodies of your enemies will come floating by,,,,
