Question about cost of getting a bear....

A friend got a large black bear...about 7 feet long....any idea how much it would cost to get it mounted with head on as a rug?

If the bear is truly 7 feet long you're likely looking around $1000 or more. Most taxi's I know of right now are between $165 and $185 per foot.

That is low end of the pricing scale... I paid $900 for my 1/2 mount blackie. When it comes to taxidermy I have no issue paying more money if the taxi's work warrants it.

    Approximately $185 per foot.

    Mainland hunter does superb work.

For something that is going to hang on your wall for decades, and passed down to your grandkids, adjusted for inflation, there is no cost too high.
