Steven, I just picked one up. I may need to pick your brain a bit....

WSM; It's a type of locater. You get it set up and it'll notify loved ones that all is well OF call in the dogs in case of emergency.

    Google "spot" for more info.

Mr. Dean..good move I've been impressed with the units, accuracy and reliability/dependability..some of the stories ALREADY have been amazing,,

Im gone for 1 month hunting in the morning...@ approx 8 am..2 weeks moose then home for a few HOURS ONLY and then off for GRIZZLY bear LEH ...so not really back in town untill Oct 29th..
IF we get a moose we are coming right home...same with the grizzly...but we have 14 days for moose and then 14 days for grizzly,,would be happy to help...was able to help Peter..Alies husband with his unit..

IF you have some questions try me shortly after 8 am...250-398-6352 at my home...

    cheers

Not to worry srupp. I haven't even opened the box yet. I leave on the 25th, I should be able to git it figured by then.

Good luck on your trip(s). Come home w/ the BIGGEST grizz that ever stomped the earth!

Srupp, I am counting on you coming back with the most wicked grizzly ever killed in BC. If you dont I may lose faith in mankind all together! Not to put any pressure on you....but again, faith in mankind is at stake!

    Need some user feedback...

Is it possible to set this thing up w/ multiple "OK" and "HELP" contacts, say two or three?
All I see on their activation page is room for one.

    Yes you can,

I have mine to send a message to my home computer, my wifes cell phone and my cell phone as well. The reason I send to myself is for a confidence check before I leave cell phone range. When I set up my account,I just added more contacts.

I used my SPOT in 4-25 this year, and it never failed to work once. Excellent peice of kit

    Is there a surcharge?
