Goose hunting in Vanderhoof

Im looking for a good field to hunt geese in this fall. Can anyone help me out with this? It would be appreciated.

I too would also like a good field to shoot ducks / geese in the Vanderhoof area.

We used to field shoot geese and ducks for years out there without any problem getting permission!!

However the last 8 years or so the goose guiding outfits have been tying up the fields with money to keep resident goose hunters off their land.

It has gotten to the point where we havn't bothered trying to shoot fields anymore out there but go up to the Peace or to Alberta for phenomenal shoots. Either that or we take the boat on the river to set up for when they return from the fields.

Best way now is to have friends or relatives that invite you on a field for a shoot.

I've got 3 dozen field dekes of my own.

I will be hunting hard for some ponds on crownland this season....just need to find a canoe...
