I'm just here to provide moral support......Hey nice (insert animal here)congrats.

In memory of you dad..."you always leave a campsite cleaner then when you found it"

There's only one thing in life that constitutes insanity..... continuing to do the same thing you have been doing but expecting different results.

Found him on Red Lake Rd. Poked him couple times with the stick, made him a little mad then let him cross and continue on his way.

I believe those are a protected species, I don't think you are allowed to kill them unless they are threatning you. I had 2 for pets for a couple of years, Rattle and Hum. I donated them to the Vancouver Aquarium when they got to big for their tank. Very cool and fun to scare people with.

I would have screamed like a girl, then drop a load in my shorts and run

I love snakes. Definitely would have been a good day for me seeing that. LR

All Snakes in BC are Protected Species. Unless you have a permit they are not legal to keep. These snakes are habituated to their densites and even with my permit I am not allowed to move them more than 500-1000m from where we catch them. This is the time of year when they are heading back to their den sites. Great pictures!!! Thank you.

    Cool pics....but that one's just a baby.

Here's one from one of our vineyards near Oliver.

Looks like he's been doing his best to keep the vineyards mouse-free.
