Some old pics I scanned
got digging through some old lost photo albums and decided to scan and post up some of these pics to share with you guys
my first black bear in May 1996. Nothing too special about this hunt, driving back from a fishing trip and there he was, ran off the road and I jumped out, loaded the 7mm Mag, 160 grain X bullet behind the shoulder and I had my first bear..a real monster
in September 1996 I took my first four point buck, spotted him and another similar sized buck sneaking along the edge of a field at first light heading for the timber. Put a bit of a stalk on them and popped over a rise and they were broadside @ 165 yards. I picked what looked to be the biggest and let rip, 7mm Mag w/ 150 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. Dropped him with a spine hit. My Dad was watching from the hill above me and as he saw it unfold through the binoculars, he saw the deer shake, a big loud WHACK and then boooooom. pretty neat
was busy skinning that morning
