Blood detecting flashlight?

Is it just a gimmick or do you think it could work?

I picked up a head lamp from Wal-mart that claims it is for blood tracking. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it was cheaper than the one you showed here. It has 3 different colored LED's and and a filter as well. I guess I could grab a steak out of the freezer and make my own blood trail in the back yard to try it.
