Bird outlook in the Princeton area

    Hey all,

Thinking about running my dogs in this area for opening. How are things looking for blues and ruffies up there?

    Thanks.

havent hunted up there in a couple of years, the area i used to go to got logged out pretty heavily and the last year i was was there kinda sucked, not sure how things are these days or where youre looking to go exactly.

ask LOC he says he hunts the pike mountain area regularly, but i think he just takes a lot of pictures

Been out in the bush quite a lot lately, and with the cold wet spring we've had, the grouse had a very poor hatch. So far I've only seen two grouse after checking an awful lot of logging road in a lot of different areas. I think the ssame thing is pretty much the same province wide though.
Best season I've had for them in years was about 3 yrs ago when all the cards (weather, feed, etc.) fell into place.
It's only when you see a mosquito land on your testicles that you realize there are other ways to deal with problems than violence.

I agree with Phred, seen nothing in 6 or 7 trips around the area into placer claims. Worst year for birds I have seen in around 6 or so.
